This conversation between these two great sages took place in the Mighty Companions living room eight years ago in 1992. Although they come from very different traditions, Georgia and Lex speak of all true sacred paths leading home. Their respect and admiration for each other is a teaching in and of itself.
Enjoy this rare treat!

A Circle of Teachers |
The Mighty Companions Herringbone Project consisted of eight monthly gatherings from May to December, 1994, designed to "look at the possibility of modeling an alignment in consciousness that itself could send ripples of a next phase of relationship, community and oneness through humanity." Willis Harman and Lex Hixon were the driving forces behind the project's formation. |
Willis Harman |
Our dear friend, Willis (1918-1997), a brilliant original thinker, was president of the Institute of Noetic Sciences, co-founder of the World Business Academy, and an emeritus professor of engineering-economic systems at Stanford University. He was a passionate advocate for fundamental systems changes. In addition to being the motivator for the creation of the Mighty Companions Herringbone Project, he also participated with us in a Roundtable Discussion that ultimately led to the creation of this website! |

"Enlightenment is the awakening to our primal harmony or, in another mystical language, to our rootedness in the Divine. Thus begins what is, in my opinion, the single best introductory book ever written on the world's great mystical traditions." From the Foreword, by Ken Wilber. |
Every Mighty Companions endeavor is done in the spirit of the coalescing so eloquently articulated by our dear friend Lex Hixon. We would like to hear your thoughts, which will be considered for posting on this page.
Upon this gifted age, in its dark hour, Rains from the sky a meteoric shower Of facts...they lie unquestioned, uncombined. Wisdom enough to leech us of our ill Is daily spun, but there exists no loom To weave it into fabric... -Edna St. Vincent Millay- |
