I opened two emails in a row that touched me deeply. This is the first one:

Subject: Your incredible film

Hello Suzanne,

We haven’t met, but my husband John gave me your contact information.

We watched What on Earth?  last night, and I feel compelled to let you know I have rarely felt so moved by a film.

We were both blown away, not only by the content (some of which was new at least to me), but by how masterfully you put it together.
You have managed to present this phenomenon in an extremely credible fashion, while at the same time evoking a sense of mystery and grace — no easy task.

Each aspect you chose to explore of this complex and multi-faceted topic felt like an essential part of this perfectly orchestrated piece.
BRAVO AND THANK YOU!!!

My heart, mind, and spirit are opened from this experience. You really did a terrific job.

Peace, blessings, and gratitude, Deo Robbins

The second one is what’s on this web page of essays, by Carla Reuckert, with this charming name: “A Small Medium at Large.” I have been a fan of The Ra Material for decades, and a few months ago, when I saw that Carla, who channels that material, along with another of my idols, Mellen-Thomas Benedict , were on the bill at the Earth Transformation Conference (where they did not disappoint), I got myself plugged into it to show my movie. As I wrote a few posts ago, about Michael Day, there’s a ring of authenticity to some special people, and Carla, speaking as herself here, and in the Ra Material, is another one. She’s been unable to write for months; you’ll read about it in this piece, which is her re-entry. So I read it eagerly, not expecting to find myself in it! Here’s the excerpt, from a moving communication you can click through to, above:

I traveled to Kona, Hawaii, in my wheelchair with an amazing degree of aid from the airline that allowed me maximum comfort along the way, and fell happily into the hospital bed the producers of the Fourth Earth Transformation Conference arranged for me at the resort in which the conference was held. The next day I opened the Conference with a discussion of 2012 and at the Conference’s end, I offered a workshop on Wanderers. These talks are available on video from http://earthtransformation.com. My husband’s and my room looked out over the ocean and the whole experience was wonderful!

I met two special people during that visit besides the presenters of the conference, Angelika Whitecliff and Michael Salla, the producers of this beautiful annual event. One was Sky Innes, whose book, Love’s Alchemy (http://www.lovesalchemy.com/Site/Home.html) is so compatible with my own work that she and I spent time talking about how to present together in the future.

The other was Suzanne Taylor, whose excellent film on crop circles (http://www.whatonearththemovie.com/flash) is now available. She and I spent a memorable afternoon that drifted into evening, as we sat and talked and watched the sea spray outside my lanai window. She put me in touch with North Atlantic Books, who has now accepted The Aaron-Q’uo Dialogues, a book co-channeled by Barbara Brodsky and me. It will come out next August. For these new friends I thank heavens, and encourage you to check their sites for interesting and illuminating material.

Vets Get Ecstasy to Treat Their PTSD

Blessings on Rick Ingrasci for sending out some of the best material the world delivers. One of the tracks that I wish I could have gotten into my movie would have involved psychedelics, which provide a path to discover that there is more to reality than surface observation reveals. Opening our minds to what’s beyond our materialistic world is the vital step we need to take so it’s not fingers in the dike to fix all the problems that challenge us, but we get a more enlightened perspective on our oneness in which we would become a compassionate species where we take care of one another instead of combat one another. On my blog http://www.TheConversation.org, column left, in Outside the Box Ideas, this is #7: “Give ecstacy to people we want info from — turn evil people into heart-connected ones.”

A pair of psychiatric experts think they’ve got the answer to the soaring number of troops coming back from war with PTSD: have them undergo intensive psychotherapy — while they’re rolling on ecstasy.

Dr. Michael Mithoefer and Anne Mithoefer, a psychiatric nurse, are the South Carolina pair who’ve been spearheading research into ecstasy, known clinically as MDMA, since 2000. After one successful study on 21 PTSD patients between 2004 and 2008, they’ve now received the final okay from FDA and DEA officials to start a study entirely devoted to former military service members.

“My sense is that, especially after we published the results of the first study, these institutions are more open to the idea,” Dr. Michael Mithoefer tells Danger Room. “Obviously, this is still new and experimental, and it can take time to get through to big institutions.”

With $500,000 in funding from MAPS (the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies), the two are recruiting 16 veterans — they’re hoping for a 50-50 split between men and women, and want most of the participants to have been diagnosed within the last 10 years.

“These will mostly be veterans from Iraq or Afghanistan, because longer duration of PTSD means more complicating factors,” Dr. Mithoefer says, adding that he does anticipate enrolling 4 vets from earlier wars and is still accepting applications.

Participants will undergo a preliminary screening process, and then partake in three solitary, 8-hour therapy sessions with both doctors. While tripping out, they’ll be asked to revisit the traumatic experiences that triggered their disorder. Dr. Mithoefer thinks MDMA acts as a catalyst for “an optimal zone of arousal” that prevents patients from becoming overwhelmed or, on the flipside, shutting down and detaching altogether.

Of course, the Pentagon’s still struggling to better diagnose and address PTSD, most recently with a cutting edge 72,000 square foot research facility. But despite the military’s gradual thaw on  alternative methods to treat the disorder — already, they’ve funded everything from yoga and acupuncture to “Warrior Mind Training” — top brass have yet to endorse MDMA.

“We’re had several conversations with people at Veterans Affairs hospitals and officers at the Department of Defense, but so far haven’t convinced them to participate,” Mithoefer says. “That said, we’re moving forward and still making every effort to get them involved.”

In the meantime, the Mithoefers anticipate finishing this latest study within three years. Teams in Switzerland, Israel, Jordan, Spain and Canada are in various stages of similar research.

Crop Circles

Have you ever given any thought to crop circles?   Crop circles are beautiful geometric patterns and designs found in fields throughout the world.  They have been found in fields that have mature crops and in fields that have younger crops.   Some people have admitted to designing and making some of the circles, but there are many more whose artists or creators still remain unknown.   Some of the designs are much more complicated and intricate than others.

Crop circles have been studied and analyzed using scientific information and equipment.  Scientific data has been complied regarding these breath-taking phenomena.  They have also been appreciated, admired, and discussed from spiritual viewpoints.   Are these circles some form of communication or are they just natural occurrences in nature just as the geometric designs of a nautilus shell or of a snowflake?  As you can see there are many questions that appear to have no definitive answers.  Perhaps the answers lie between the spiritual and the scientific viewpoints.  Perhaps, if nothing more, until the crop circle mysteries are solved, minds can remain open to many possibilities and receptive to other ways of thinking about our place in the universe.   Join Suzanne Taylor, http://www.cropcirclemovie.com, and  myself as we go about exploring crop circles as we travel along the Sacred Path.

Listen live this Tuesday at 7:00 PM September 14 Eastern Standard Time on http://www.blogtalkradio.com/cherokee-billie. The programs are available 24 hours a day for you to listen to in the archives.
